Craven County is dedicated to minimizing unnecessary water consumption county-wide by 25% within the next 3 years thereby protecting our regional water supply and insuring that county residents enjoy clean, abundant water available to all, both now and in the future.

State mandate targets for water reduction of the Black Creek Aquifer by county is 25% by 2008; 50% by 2013, and 75% by 2018. Escalating growth of Craven County will make those targets difficult to achieve unless pro-active measures are taken now.
